Academic and Research Center for Educational Process Organization
The Academic and Research Center for Educational Process Organization (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is a structural unit of Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University. The Center was established to ensure the planning and organization of the educational process, and monitor and analyze its results in accordance with the requirements of higher education standards and the licensing conditions for educational activities.
The Center operates in compliance with Ukrainian legislation, including the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education," as well as regulatory documents issued by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. It also adheres to the University Charter, decisions of the Academic Council, the Regulation on the Academic and Research Center for Educational Process Organization, and directives from the Rector and Vice-Rectors who are directly involved in planning and organizing the educational process.
The main tasks and functions of the Center include:
- Leading the development of academic (working) plans for the faculties, ensuring their alignment with educational programs, higher education standards, and professional standards;
- Organizing the free selection of academic disciplines by students, creating catalogs of elective courses, and publishing them on the TNPU website;
- Coordinating the development of schedules for the educational process, timetables for classes for students of all specialties and forms of study in accordance with working academic plans, schedules for student assessments, and timetables for semester and other forms of assessment, as well as schedules for rector's control, organizing its implementation, and analyzing the results;
- Preparing and publishing on the University website the timetables for classes, assessment schedules, and other forms of evaluation;
- Leading the organization of all types of practical training for students;
- Monitoring the planning of workloads for academic staff by the departments;
- Monitoring the calculation and implementation of academic workloads by departments and individual academic staff;
- Monitoring the implementation of academic plans by faculties and the delivery of courses by University instructors;
- Approving the composition and working periods of faculty examination committees, summarizing and analyzing their performance;
- Monitoring, recording, and analyzing the efficiency of the University's classroom resources, educational laboratory facilities, and their technical equipment;
- Monitoring student discipline within the educational process;
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory standards regarding student dismissal, reinstatement, and suspension, as well as maintaining relevant documentation (orders, directives);
- Organizing distance learning through the Moodle system and other e-learning platforms;
- Ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of the University's educational environment, its digitalization, and innovation;
- Developing regulatory and methodological documents on educational process organization at TNPU;
- Providing methodological support for distance learning;
- Automated support for student enrollment management and issuance of educational documents;
- Implementing the latest technologies in teaching and organizing the educational process.
