Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University Trade Union Staff Organization
TNPU Trade Union Staff Organization is a public organization of university employees whose purpose is to represent and protect its trade union members' labour, socio-economic rights, and interests. Joining the trade union is voluntary, without restrictions due to nationality, race, gender, party affiliation or religious beliefs.
The Trade Union Staff Organization shapes the work of the trade union committee and the current activities of the university's trade union organization; concludes and monitors the implementation of the collective agreement, reports on its implementation at the general meeting of the labour collective, performs the functions provided for in paragraphs 49-51 of the Charter of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine.
The Primary Trade Union Staff Organization operates in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On Trade Unions, Their Rights and Guarantees of Activity". The Law of Ukraine "On Associations of Citizens". Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", regulatory legal acts of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Together with the administration:
- resolves issues of social development of the university;
- participates in the development of internal labour regulations of the university;
- participates in the investigation of accidents, occupational diseases, etc.;
- participates in resolving issues of remuneration, tariff rates, salary schemes, conditions for the introduction and amount of allowances, supplements, bonuses, rewards and other incentive payments;
- nominates candidates for the commission on labour disputes, which are elected by the conference of the labour collective, etc., according to the Charter of the Trade Union.
Represents the interests of employees on their behalf when considering individual labour disputes and on behalf of the labour collective in a collective labour dispute, and contributes to its resolution.
Develops and approves the annual cost estimate, considering all types of income, and reports on its implementation to the trade union.
Forms the dismissed employees' staff per the work volume and available funds.
Provides material assistance to trade union members from the trade union funds.
Directs its activities to the implementation of statutory tasks, decisions of the conference of the primary trade union, and higher bodies of the trade union.
Organizes the accounting of trade union members, monitors compliance with statutory norms when accepting into the trade union and terminating membership, and determines the procedure for forming elected bodies and electing delegates to the conference.
