Biography

Volodymyr Naumchuk was born on July 17, 1969, in Korosten, Zhytomyr Region.

He graduated from Ternopil Secondary School No. 7 in 1986. In the same year, he enrolled in the Faculty of Physical Education at the Ternopil Ya. Galan State Pedagogical Institute, graduating with honours in 1991. Between 1988 and 1989, he served in the military. Throughout 1986 to 1995, he showcased his talent in football by playing for such USSR and Ukrainian championship football teams as "Zakarpattia" (Uzhhorod), "Naftovyk" (Okhtyrka), and "Pryladyst" and "Karpaty" (Mukachevo). Following this, he served as a physical education teacher at Ternopil Secondary School No. 7 from 1995 to 1999.

In 1999, he embarked on postgraduate studies at the Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, where he completed his programme early in 2002. His doctoral thesis, titled "Professional training of future physical education teachers in the process of independent work on sports games", earned him a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences (Ph.D.) degree in 2003 and a certificate of Associate Professor of the Department of Gymnastics and Sports Games in 2005.
Volodymyr Naumchuk has been a dedicated member of the Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiyuk National Pedagogical University since 1999. Initially, he worked at the Department of Physical Education, later transitioning to the Department of Gymnastics and Sports Games as an assistant and Associate Professor. 

In 2012, he was appointed as the head of the Department of Gymnastics and Sports Games, and subsequently, following a faculty restructuring in 2013, he assumed the role of the head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education.
From 2014 to 2020, he served as an Associate Professor at the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education before being elected as the head of the department in 2020.

Volodymyr Naumchuk spearheads the project group responsible for developing the educational and professional programme "Secondary Education (Physical Culture)" at the second (master's) level of higher education, focusing on the specialty 014.11 Secondary Education (Physical Culture). 

Additionally, he serves as the director of the Centre for Licencing of Child and Youth and Amateur Football Coaches at the Ternopil Football Association (TFA) under the "D" and "C" diploma programmes of the Ukrainian Football Association (UFA). These programmes prepare coaches in accordance with the UEFA Coaching Convention (UEFA Convention on the Mutual Recognition of Coaching Qualifications) and the UEFA Mass Football Charter.

He is an esteemed member of the International Scientific Committee of Encuentro Journal (Spain, ISSN: 1989-0796 | DOI: 10.37536/ej) and the Advisory Board of The International Journal of Active and Healthy Aging (Turkey, e-ISSN: 3023-6045).
Volodymyr Naumchuk's scholarly contributions encompass over 200 scientific, educational, and methodological works.
