DeDiMaMo International Project
In 2019, the University won out of 19 submitted applications, of which only six projects received financial support, and only two of them were Ukrainian.
Project title: Development of students ’mathematical competencies through Digital Mathematical Modeling (DeDiMaMo).
Project registration number: CPEA-ST-2019/10067.
Project implementation period: 2019–2022
Project estimate: NOK 150,000.
Project participants: the main organization of University of Adger (Norway), Borys Hrinchenko Kyiv University (Ukraine) and Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University (Ukraine).
Universities will cooperate in the study of innovation in teaching mathematics at the university level using elements of adaptive learning, with special emphasis on digital mathematical modeling, which involves the study of objects, phenomena, processes, devices, systems using mathematical models with digital technologies.
On November 13-15, 2019, a meeting of the participating teams of the project took place in Kyiv, where the goals, objectives, activities and deadlines of the project stages were discussed. There was a discussion about the state of the study of mathematical modeling in Ukrainian and Norwegian universities. The moderator of the meeting was Yurii Rohovchenko, a professor at the University of Agder.
On December 3, 2019 in the framework of the tripartite project Eurasia, CPEA-ST-2019/10067 "DeDiMaMo - Development of mathematical competencies of students through digital mathematical modeling", which combines Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, University of Adger (Norway) ), Borys Hrinchenko Kyiv University, held an information day "Mathematics and information technology: how the digital world is changing science and education." The event aimed to inform the target audience about the possibilities of inclusion and use by academic and non-academic partners of the results of the project on innovation in teaching mathematics using elements of adaptive learning, with special emphasis on digital mathematical modeling.
